Charitable Partners

Our main charitable partner provides support and information to rugby players who sustain a catastrophic spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury playing the game and help prevent future injuries through research and education.

For Ruck Sake are operating with the focus of supporting the research required to make breakthroughs to understand how improvements to the care of injured players can be made.

Together we can help raise funds and raise awareness to support injured players and to fund vital research.

Will Greenwood’s chosen charity is Borne. Borne is a medical research charity based in Imperial College School of Medicine‘s facilities at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Our aim is to identify the causes of premature birth to save lives, prevent disability and create lifelong health for mothers and babies.

Mike Tindall’s chosen charity for his London date is The Cure Parkinson’s Trust. Since its inception in 2005, The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) has challenged the view that there is no cure for Parkinson’s (PD). Our mission is to find disease-modifying treatments which slow, stop or even reverse Parkinson’s.

Mike Tindall’s chosen charity for his Leicester date is the Matt Hampson Foundation. Their aim is to provide advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sport, sporting activity or other form of physical education or recreation.

Mike Tindall’s chosen charity for his Bournemouth date is Wings for Life. Wings for Life is a charitable organisation that funds research, in the pursuit to find a cure for spinal cord injury. In the UK, every 8 hours someone’s life will change forever as the result of a spinal cord injury (SCI). The majority of SCI’s are caused by road accidents; other causes include falls and popular sports, such as rugby. Through funding research, we can play a part in giving spinal cord injured people their independence back.

Lewis Moody’s chosen charity is the Lewis Moody Foundation. Inspired by Joss Rowley Stark, The Lewis Moody Foundation has been set up to tackle illness & fulfil dreams for young families affected by serious illness. Our aim is to give families a day out of the ordinary to create lasting magical memories, giving them a boost of hope and strength to cope.

Jason Robinson’s chosen charity is Brain Tumour Research. They are the only national charity in the UK dedicated to funding continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours. Its vision is to find a cure. The charity is developing the next generation of world-class experts in neuro-oncology and is combining the best knowledge and expertise to build teams of brilliant researchers who are collaborating locally, nationally and internationally. Any money raised is helping Brain Tumour Research sustain its vital, long-term research whilst influencing the Government and larger cancer charities to invest more nationally into this crucial area of medical research.

About US

At For Ruck Sake we wanted to make our events accessible to you the fans. We understand that not everyone can afford a corporate box at Twickenham or a charity dinner at the Principality Stadium. Our philosophy is simple, legendary guests, fantastic prizes, charity and you, the fans.

We are all about charity, our main charitable partner is the RFU Injured Players Foundation and every ticket you buy will include a donation to supporting injured players at all levels of rugby from grass route to elite. Additionally, each guest has chosen a charity local to each host city to support, more details of which can be found in the ‘Charitable Partners section’.
